Following the Light: From Blue Hour to Full Sun

This hands-on morning field session is designed to help photographers truly see and understand light, from the quiet glow of pre-dawn blue hour through the intensity of full sun. Set in Florida’s ever-changing morning environment, this class explores how different qualities of light shape mood, depth, and storytelling in an image. Weather permitting, participants will learn to identify and creatively use ambient light, front light, side light, rim light, backlight, silhouettes, and even harsh sunlight to create compelling photographs. Whether you’re just beginning or refining your craft, this immersive experience will strengthen your ability to recognize light in real time and use it intentionally to create
beautiful, expressive images in any lighting condition.
Gear list: Smartphone, DSLR or Mirrorless cameras are welcomed. Lens length (for DSLRor Mirrorless cameras): 70-200mm, or 100-400mm, 24-70mm or similar are all suggested. Tripod optional.
